Dynabiofilter

1. Outline

A wastewater treatment system has various requirement of cost, installation area, maintenance, and load-fluctuation.
DYNABIOFILTER satisfies these requirements by combining biological treatment with filtration in one unit. The wastewater is allowed to flow downwards through the packed bed of solid-grains (filtering media) with diameter of millimeters, thus causing the microorganisms to attach around the solid-grains, and to operate as filtering media to filter the suspended solids (SS).

2. Processing Flow

3. Features

1) High purification efficiency
The filtering media have a large specific surface area to hold large quantity per unit capacity of the microorganisms, so as to ensure a high purification efficiency in a short detention time.
2) Compact equipment size
The large microbe-holding capacity has reduced the size of the unit. And filtering needs no final-sedimentation tank.
3) Little aeration air
The aeration air slowly rises through the filtering media to allow an efficient oxygen dissolution.
4) Easy maintenance
Bulking is no possible to be caused, there is automatic back washing system according to the closing of the filterbed.

4. Treatment Performance and Characteristics

BOD removal efficiency: 80 to 90% (BOD volumetric loading: 2-3kg/(m3/d)
SS removal efficiency: 90%
Device installation area: About ½ of the area required for activated sludge method
Aeration air quantity: About ½ of the quantity required for activated sludge method
