Mesiner Thickener1. Purpose
Separation of particulates suspended in wastewater by gravity sedimentation is called the sedimentation. This operation separates wastewater to purified liquid and thickened suspended matter. In our system, inclined plates are used to make the sedimentation more effective.
2. Construction and principle
A very simple construction with many inclined plates arranged in the raw water flow direction with a specific pitch and angle of repose inside the bath and the suspended matter thickening bath provided below it.
Raw water pumped through sides of the equipment flows between inclined plates through flow control plates toward the outlet. Suspended matter is precipitated on lower inclined plates ahead by the resultant force of the drift and sedimentation speeds.
3. Features
- Short sedimentation distance and very short residence time.
- Small equipment capacity.
- Small floor area.
- Low equipment cost.
4. Applicable Fields and Typical Example
- Chemical manufacturing, food manufacturing, steel production, mining, machine manufacturing, paper manufacturing, waste processing, refuse disposal, etc.
Typical example:- - "T" company
Elimination of Mg, Ca, etc. from saturated salt water
Quantity processed: 1,000 t/d
- "K" scavenging union
Elimination of ash from cooled gas drain of garbage burning
Quantity processed: 40m3/h
