Mitsubishi High Efficient Coagulator

1. Outline of system

High Efficient coagulator is a highly efficient waste water treatment system to perform the processes of Coagulation - Granulation - Precipitation / Clarification in one unit at once, which removes the Suspended Solid (SS) from waste water.
(1) Faster precipitation speed and saved space
(2) Treated water is stable in quality.
(3) Flock-forming tank can be omitted.
(4) Sludge concentration tank can be omitted.
(5) Improved availability

2. Characteristics

1) Faster Precipitation Speed
Coagulants suitable for each waste water are selected so that high density flocks can be formed. Also by optimizing the stirring condition and the injection method for the coagulant aid, high-density grain pellets can be made by compacting the flocks. As high-density pellets of larger grain sizes are formed, the precipitation speed increases, and the system's linear velocity (LV) can be set to 10 m/h or higher (10 times or more as high as the conventional type).
2) Stablizing Treated Water
The slurry blanket is formed by the high-density pellets, and fine coagulation flocks can be captured so that the treatment of SS is stabilized.
3) Omitting Flock-forming Tank
By the optimized setting of the conditions for coagulation reaction, the detention time required to form the coagulation flocks gets shorter. Therefore, no flock-forming tank is required.
4) Omitting Sludge Concentration Tank
Sludge slurry can be compacted by forming the coagulation flocks into pellets, and the concentration of waste sludge can be increased to 30,000-40,000 mg/l (approx 3-4 times as concentrated as the conventional type). Therefore, the sludge slurry can be dehydrated directly, and the sludge concentration tank can be omitted.
5) Improved Availability
The above item 2) prevents the water quality from being deteriorated in intermittent operation, and enables it to restart operation in a short time. Consequently, the availability of the whole treatment of waste water is expected to improve.
