SPC Cyclone Melting Furnace1. Purpose
The SPC cyclone melting furnace is intended to burn and melt the dried powder sludge and incineration ash within the horizontal cyclone type combustion furnace at the temperature of approx. 1500ºC.
The dried powder sludge or incineration ash is supplied to the upper-stream side of cyclone combustion furnace from tangential direction at high speed together with the combustion air and aux. fuel, and is then rotated and burnt.
Since the dried powder sludge or incineration ash is burnt at high speed within the cyclone combustion furnace due to cyclone current effect, it is possible to maintain the temperature within the furnace at high level.
The burnt ash content is melted due to high temperature, and flows down naturally through the melting slag outlet port arranged at the lower-stream side bottom of the cyclone combustion furnace.
A buffle is prepared at the lowermost stream side of the cyclone melting furnace, so that the melting slag should not flow down to the secondary combustion furnace.
To restrict the NOX generated within the cyclone melting furnace, the combustion within the cyclone furnace is executed at the level of less than theoretical combustion air flow rate, and the sufficient air is supplied within the secondary combustion chamber, to burn the material fully.

3. Features
The furnace body itself is designed compact, as it is a high-speed combustion furnace.
Since it is so constructed that the discharge port for combustion gas and that for melting slag are separated, it is possible to design a furnace which can be commonly used for incineration furnace and melting furnace by installing them to the sand-free type fluidizing furnace additionally.
For this reason, it can be used as melting furnace not only for dried sludge but also for incineration ash.
Since it is so designed as to be readily attached/detached to/from the secondary. combustion furnace, it is possible to enhance the operation efficiency of the entire melting system by arranging the stand-by furnace.
