Biological Gas Treatment EquipmentOrganic matter-dominated pollutants are contained in exhaust gas discharged from food, alcohol, fertilizer production processes, painting process, shell mold casting process, metal surface treatment utilizing alcohol and, other organic solvent, IC and semiconductor production processes.
On the other hand, exhaust gas generating from sewage treatment plant, organic waste receiving pit, organic sludge dehydrator contains reducing sulfur compounds represented by hydrogen sulfide and methylmelcaptan.
For such type of exhaust gas, conventional scrubbing method using acid and alkali are not so effective. In such a case, therefore, the gas treatment is conducted using oxidizing agent, reducing agent and activated carbon. However, the above-mentioned treatment method is not always satisfactorily effective. Even when it is effective, there are problems such as very high running cost.
Biological exhaust gas treatment system utilizing microorganism is a high efficiency system which can be operated at low running cost.
1. Biofresher® (for the treatment of exhaust gas containing biodegradable organic matter):
Exhaust gas can be efficiently treated since activated sludge-containing absorbent is circulated in MORETANA® scrubber which features high contact efficiency and no clogging. Organic matter contained in exhaust gas is absorbed and decomposed by activated sludge immediately after being absorbed by absorbent. The equipment can be operated at low running cost because only P and N are required to be added in absorbent.
2. Bioforest® (for the treatment of exhaust gas containing reducing sulfur compounds):
Pollutants contained in exhaust gas are absorbed and decomposed by biomass of sulphur oxidizing bacteria cultivated in special ceramic packing.
