Wet Scrubber

1. Purpose

To remove the HCl, SOx, etc. contained in the combustion exhaust gas, the gas is scrubbed by water, to absorb such substances into water. The water is neutralized with sodium hydroxide, and used cyclically. A part of such water is discharged to balance the salt content. The gas is humidified and cooled by water scrubbing until it is saturated. It is subjected to contact-dehumidifying by the cooling water circulation unit, to prevent the white plume. The water soluble mercury is fully removed by pouring the chemical in the cycling water.

2. Performance and Characteristic Removal ratio

HCl ----- 98% or over
SOx ----- 90% or over

3. Features

The tower is made up of a quenching scrubber tower and an absorption and dehumidification tower, the former of which serves to dehumidify and cool the gas, and to absorb the harmful substance, while the latter of which serves to fully remove the harmful substance, and to cool and to dehumidify. The quenching tower adopts the"Mono-venturi scrubber"method, and ensures high-performance gas/liquid contact.

4. Application Field, Object, Practical Application Example

General combustion exhaust gases including water soluble harmful substances such as HCl, SOx, etc.
Municipal cleaning plant in K city, and many other.
