Improvement of Producing Process and Equipment

(1) To introduce facilities utilizing new energy or unused energy.

- Installation of co-generation system (1)

-Introduction of Combinedcycle electricity generation

-Reduction of lighting cost by installation of solar lighting system

-Non-utility generation equipment using solar power generation system

-Introduction of a fuel cell using methane gas created banaerobic effluent treatment in Sapporo Breweries' Chiba Plant

(2) To reduce electricity use by use of inverters.

-Improvement in methods of regulating flow and pressure of visualizing specimen

-Using inverter for local air vent blower

-Use of inverter in air-conditioner fan motor and air-conditioner cold water secondary pump

-Improvement of factory air conditioning system

-Inverter device installation into water purifying equipment (R/O pump)

-Promotion of energy saving through the use of an inverter in the purified water pump and the control of the number in operation

-Energy saving by inverter control of blower

(3) To introduce production processes and facilities that enable to reduce electricity use.

-Use of high-pressure sodium lamp for high ceiling lighting

-Power reduction by pressure reduction of reverse osmotic membrane in water purification equipment

-Energy saving equipment installation (3 KW laser cutter)

(4) To reduce energy consumption by adoption of facilities with good thermal efficiency.

-DC twin electric furnace

-Energy saving in walking-beam type heat treatment furnace

-Adoption of completion machine insulation jacket

-Energy saving measure by converting drying furnace fuel from heavy oil to LPG(butane gas)

-Promotion of energy efficiency by absorption refrigerator cooling tower model change

-Improvement in heat exchange efficiency of air-cooled air conditioner outdoor unit (when cooling)

-Installation of high-temperature compound heat treatment furnace

-Improvement of insulation of annealing furnace and heating furnace

-Recovery of refrigerator efficiency by sponge ball cleaning

-Measures to introduce barrier air conditioning

-Improvement of diffusion furnace in semiconductor manufacturing process

-Energy saving improvement by replacement of boiler soft water tank

-(5) To introduce technology to reduce waste and hazardous substances.

-Reduction of developer waste liquid in IC production process by process improvement

-A New Process for Acetic Acid Production by Direct Oxidation of Ethylene

-Improvement in the surface process of centrifugal cast steel products

-Sludge concentration equipment

-Continuous sludge dehydration equipment

-BOD measures by aeration of factory raw water (OGT Database)

-A neutralization equipment for waste water used in the casting of concrete under construction at a factory (OGT Database)

- Water wet scrubber for small metal components

-Preventing cutting oil from putrefaction by ultraviolet irradiation (OGT Database)

-Abolition of painting process by introduction of PCM frame production facility for washing machines

-Low NOx burner for regenerative combustion system

-Para-Eco Recycling System

-The reduction of sludge settling in a temporary storage tank for effluent (OGT Database)

-Installation of mechanical descaler

(6) To introduce technology to reduce exhaust gas and offensive odor on production process.

(7) To introduce technology to reduce noise.

-Measures to decrease the noise of air exhaust from a packing machine (OGT Database)

(8) To introduce facilities and technology, which minimize use of water and chemicals.

(10) To reduce water use by improving efficiency in agitation and reaction of chemicals.

-Reduction of underground water extraction by reviewing underground water treatment facility

(11) To adopt facilities with easy cleaning and checking.
